BAKED MAPLE MOUNTAIN BRIE

Serves 6-8

 

I N G R E D I E N T S

Baked Brie

  • 1 SHEET  puff pastry (thawed according to package directions), or crescent rolls

  • 1 ROUND Maple Mountain Brie from Brush Creek Creamery

Cranberry Sauce

  • 1 CUP sugar

  • 1 CUP water

  • 4 CUPS fresh or frozen cranberries

  • Optional: pecans, orange zest, raisins, currants, blueberries, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice

1 LOAF of Artisan Bread from The Grain Shed

P R O C E S S

Baked Brie

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Roll the puff pastry or the crescent rolls flat. Place the brie in the center of the dough and wrap the dough around it. 

  3. On a lined baking sheet, Place the brie on a lined baking sheet with the seams face down.

  4. Bake at 350°F for 30-40 minutes. The pastry should be golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Cranberry Sauce

  1. Add the water and sugar to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve the sugar.

  2. Add the cranberries and return to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until most of the cranberries have burst.

  3. Optional:  Mix in a half a cup of chopped pecans or walnuts, and a pinch or two of orange zest, cinnamon, or nutmeg.

  4. Place the brie on a serving plate and top with cranberry sauce. Slice your bread to accompany the brie. Feast with the seasons!
