GARLIC ROASTED ARTICHOKES
Try roasting these INW grown artichokes to enjoy the tender artichoke hearts. If you don't want to heat up the oven, try this recipe on the grill!
I N G R E D I E N T S
2 artichokes
4 cloves garlic
1/2 lemon
olive oil
salt & pepper
P R O C E S S
1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Remove the stems of the artichokes and a few of the tough outer petals.
2. Using a serrated knife, cut off roughly an inch from the top.
3. Slice the artichokes in half lengthwise. Using a spoon, remove the fuzzy center of the artichoke. Squeeze the lemon over the halves to keep them from browning.
5. Remove from the oven and let cool until they are warm to the touch. Enjoy by peeling off each artichoke petal and eating the tender parts, scraping the tender portions off of tough petals as necessary.
4. Wrap each artichoke half in tinfoil, place a garlic clove in the center, and drizzle with olive oil. Close the tinfoil around the artichokes and bake for 45 minutes on a baking sheet.
