Farm Spotlight: Urban Eden Farm

Look for a number of greens from Urban Eden in your LINC Box this week! Urban Eden is a 40 acre farm located in Vinegar Flats, just five minutes from downtown Spokane - talk about local! Urban Eden has an ALL GIRL farm team this year and is excited to start its transition to a no-till market farm.

Farm manager, Tarawyn is committed to stewarding their precious piece of land within city limits and uses all organic (non-certified) growing practices to do so. Among many other sustainable growing practices, Urban Eden uses Spokane Parks department leaves to create their own compost, uses companion planting, and hand picks bugs off of vegetables. Urban Eden seeks to use as little plastic as possible in their packaging.

We hope to continue to include Urban Eden produce in your LINC Box throughout the season - look for on-the-vine tomatoes, leeks, rhubarb, kale, and turnips!

You can find Urban Eden at the Downtown Farmers Market and at their farm stand located on Inland Empire Way from 9am-12pm on Saturdays through October!
