Pie Pumpkin - Ronnigers Organics, Moyie Springs, ID - These pumpkins have a silky smooth and nutty flesh that creates a top tier base for pies, baking, cooking, or soups. To create the pumpkin puree you'd find in a can, remove the seeds, roast, and puree in a blender or food processor!

Kohlrabi - Hayshaker Farm, Walla Walla, WA - A cousin to cabbage, kohlrabi tastes similar to a broccoli stem with the slight spiciness of a radish. Kohlrabi is popular in Eastern Europe, lean into this staple with a Hungarian Creamy Kohlrabi Soup. Kholrabi can also be eaten raw with dip on a veggie platter, caramelized in butter, roasted, or stir fried.

Carrots - Full Bushel Farm, Medical Lake, WA - Sweet, crunchy, and classic. This root is a staple snack or a much-loved addition to salads and stews. Feature the flavor of carrots by roasting them with garlic and parmesan or sautéing with sage.

Spinach - Welcome Table Farm, Walla Walla, WA - Spinach is a nutrient rich green that has a sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness. Pair this crisp green with nuts and fruits for a flavorful and fresh salad. Eat spinach cooked to be able to absorb more of its iron and calcium - we love it on pizza, in soups, in curries, or in smoothies.

Purple Cauliflower - Big Sage Organics, Othello, WA - Naturally vibrant purple cauliflower!! This cauliflower has the same antioxidant found in red cabbage that contributes to its bright purple hue. Use in your favorite cauliflower recipes.

Jonagold Apples - Whitestone Mountain Orchard, WA - Jonagold apples are sweet and firm. They hold their texture when cooked which makes them perfect for baking and pies.

Ruby Jon offers the same crisp, juicy eating quality of the old-fashioned Jonathan, with 100 percent of the Jonathan’s flavor and size. It has a smooth finish and it is available starting in mid-September. The Ruby Jon is not a good keeper, but makes excellent apple sauce.

These pigs live outdoors in diverse pastures and woodlands where they can root, wallow, and lounge to their hearts' content.
